Rihanna Gets Her Own Beauty Company

We should never be surprised when Rihanna makes a step. Never. In case you’ve been under a rock, my little Misfit, here’s a new scoop the rest of the world is already aware of. Rihanna, perhaps one of the most coveted celebrities of our time, has launched a beauty company named Fr8me.

Co-partnered with talent manager Benoit Demouy, the duo have spawned an agency dedicated to representing makeup artists, stylists and hairstylists. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Rihanna said that “Hair, makeup and styling play an important role in creativity. I am very involved with that part of my process, so this agency was an organic thing for me to do. We are lucky enough to have some of the best artists at Fr8me but I also have a soft spot for finding new talent with extraordinary skills.”

I can not say I am surprised in the least. Say what you want about the girl’s musical abilities, but nobody can deny Rihanna is a businesswoman. I am just elated that she is beginning to really create platforms for Women of Color as business-owners, and having something solidified under her belt as her own. A win for her makes it a reality and an inevitability for us. Have you been looking for another Black owned business to support? Well, here’s a chance for us all. I actually wrote a piece on why I support black owned businesses.
