A Purpose Driven Life, Wife, And All the Inbetweens…

One day, you might find a job you really like. Hours are great, people are cool, and the boss doesn’t mind when you step in 10 minutes late because the line at Starbucks went around the corner.

But something won’t feel right.
You won’t place your finger on it at first, but eventually you’ll begin to see that things are nice, but they don’t make you feel purposeful. Things can be going great, but there will definitely be a feeling of being unsettled….and when that feeling reveals itself, it’s time to think.
Now before you tell me, “But Jaa, I don’t have a purpose. I’m a misfit, and highly misunderstood, blah blah blah” let me just say this first: Misfits have their own place in society too, no matter what the technical definition to us is. We’re just a unique and different kind, finding our own place in society as we go along. Nonetheless, we have a place.
We have a purpose in this world; each one of us does. It is a purpose that is destined from a higher being, whether that is God to you or something else. Every compartment in your life has a “purpose”, and it’s the art of finding that purpose that makes life, well, life.
Embrace the challenges in your life and take things one day at a time. You’ll find along your journey things that you thought would last for years last for weeks, and things that you thought were 1 timers can change your life forever. It’s just part of life, and finding your purpose is all you are put on this Earth to do. Once you begin walking in your purpose, your destiny or your calling, you will truly begin to see what fulfillment feels like, as well as true joy and not just happiness.
Realize that people are going to come in and out. A lot. Welcome them with open arms when they are there, and when it’s time to let go, let them go and open that space for someone new. This may sound slightly pretentious, but when letting go of people, think to yourself that although it will hurt for a while, you’ll be getting better people who will push you closer to your purpose. The idea of people pushing you toward your purpose is an interesting thing, for even your enemies can push you into your purpose. Sometimes you need the persecutors, the haters, the enemies…what they don’t know is all the bad they do to you is only making you stronger, better and advantageous.
Walk in the light that you take for yourself. Walk in your truth and you will surely find that nothing, and nobody, can push you out of the purpose that has been created in your bones way before you were even conceptualized.
Be your best misfit, baby. You owe it to the world to give what’s destined for you to have and give.
