Inexpensive Beauty Items I Loved Last Month

I’m always asked about my skincare regimen and products that I love to use.

First of all, it’s greatly appreciated since I’m someone who never had ~great~ skin growing up. My mother and I would go to all the drugstores and search for whatever acne cream and remedy was out on the market; honestly, I wore a ton of makeup in high school to hide rashes, acne breakouts, and of course, the inevitable scarring that would occur.

So one of the things I always promised myself was that I’d share products that I love, both the expensive and the non-expensive. Last month, I kept my skincare and beauty routine super simple, but here’s a few products that I used and highly recommend:

  1. Drunk Elephant’s Virgin Marula Face Oil — This face oil is one of my favorites on the market. I’ve used Drunk Elephant products for quite some time, but their face oil is one of my favorite products from the line. It has antioxidants that soothe and nourish the skin, plus it hydrates the skin in an amazing way. It IS expensive, but it’s totally worth it.
  2. The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash — This is the facial wash I swear by for all time. It’s actually my favorite facial wash, hands down. But actually, I use it every day. If you’re someone with sensitive skin, but you need to know that your pores are really cleaned out? THIS. Also, use this after an acne breakout. You’re welcome.

Honestly if you just want to shop my favorite skincare washes and products, here’s a quick little roll of them ( I use these for my fave, and The Body Shop’s Body Wash for…well….my body):

  1. Clinique’s Take The Day Off Balm — This product is a holy grail for eternity. If you wear makeup, this helps remove everything off your face before cleansing. I love this product so much, I sometimes use it even when I haven’t worn makeup. It’s like a balm, extremely lightweight and moisturizing, and it doesn’t strip the skin. A little bit goes a long way and I’ve been working on the SAME bottle for like six months, so definitely worth the investment.
  2. Kevyn Aucoin’s Exotique Diamond Eye Gloss — When I posted the look below on my Instagram, people had all these questions about creating my glossy lid. I have to admit, it’s a trend I’ve seen on the runways and immediately gravitated towards, even though I was nervous to try it since I already have oily lids. This diamond eye gloss has shiny fragments that give you the perfect finishing touch. I wore it alone, but you can also put it on top of an eyeshadow!

For eyeshadows, I love everything Morphe, like this 35-shade palette that I’ve been using for any eye looks. I’d love to be more adventurous with my eye makeup, but I never have the time because I’m always on the go.

Facial oils are mandatory in my world, and they should be in yours. No matter if your skin is oily or dry, a facial oil balances out your skin’s natural sebum output, AND who doesn’t want to have great, glistening skin?! This replenishing facial oil has been in heavy rotation for me, and I love that it’s affordable and won’t break the bank for first timers.

Of course, there are some other purchases I’ve made that I’ve rocked with for a long time and aren’t really new, but are still skincare and makeup products I’d put my last dollar to (and most likely, have). I’m not someone who always needs new products and new things in my beauty arsenal, BUT if I love a product, it’ll make an honest woman out of me forever:
