Niacinamide: What’s Up With This Beauty Secret Ingredient?

As a skincare enthusiast, I love dishing on different products and ingredients that others should know to incorporate into their routines. While some ingredients are subject to the doctor’s approval, other ingredients can easily be found over the counter and are effective at treating various skin conditions. For me, I love niacinamide for treating my acne-prone skin.

It can also help reduce the appearance of pores by regulating oil production and improving the skin’s texture. This is especially important for all my oily girls out there who suffer with oil pores! In that same vein, this heaven-sent ingredient has been shown to help reduce melanin production, which can help improve uneven skin tone and hyperpigmentation. Personally, I opt for a serum like the Kiehl’s Niacinamide Serum, which goes well with other products in my beauty routine when I get ready for bed.

According to Vogue.com, you can use it any time of day, even up to a couple of times a day. Oh, and don’t set your expectations up too high for immediate results. You’ll need a bit of time to get things going as it takes some time to see results. Still, you’ll see results if you’re dedicated and focused on it.
