Whenever the weather begins to change, the first thing that changes with it is my makeup and beauty routine. Though I tend to stick to products that I try and immediately love, it never hurts to add something different in your beauty arsenal every here and there to spice things up.
So, I had a chance to get a bit of intel from the amazing people at Sephora, all on the beauty must-haves they are leaning towards as the weather finally begins to show a dab of spring. So, what’s in store? Let’s find out.
To start, we can dive into Tarte’s Babassu Foundcealer Foundation, which gives a beautiful level of coverage without feeling cakey and messy for the summer. “This innovative formula allows for a hydrated natural skin look with the ability to go from a medium coverage foundation to a full coverage concealer just by adding a little more of the product to the desired area,” said David Razzano, Sephora Beauty Director. And the best way to wear the product? With a beauty blender or concealer brush, according to Razzano. “If you want a natural foundation from this foundcealer, apply it with a damp Beauty Blender – this will ensure a natural medium coverage result. If you want to use this with fuller coverage concealer capabilities, apply with a concealer brush, such as Sephora Collection Pro Concealer Brush #71 , as it will allow you to lay down the Foundcealer in layers until getting the desired coverage and then gently buff out the edges for a seamless look.”
Sephora’s Metallic Pigment Palette is a six-pan palette with metallic shades for your eyes and face. Jeffrey English, another Sephora Beauty Director, agrees that the pigments are fabulous. “The bolder metallic shades on the top row make amazing eyeshadow highlights and can also be used as beautiful lip toppers to transform the texture of any lip shade. The bottom three are the best trio of blending shades I’ve ever worked with. They work perfectly for smoothing out heavy blush applications, or areas where any other highlights might have grabbed.”

This is a product I can’t wait to get my hands, mostly because I’ve tried it before at Sephora and I’m addicted to how my makeup adheres to the primer. “I’m extremely oily so I love using a weightless primer on my skin,” said Myiesha Sewell. “I’m an avid user of Milk Makeup’s Matcha Toner underneath my foundation, so I’m definitely adding in the Hydro Grip Primer to my routine. You want to wait one minute after application before applying your complexion. You want to give it an adequate amount of time to soak in and be able to ‘grip’ your makeup.”
What do you guys think? Have you tried any of these products?
