Ever since Kelly Rowland called me wise for my age, I have SERIOUSLY in my bag, haha.
Okay, maybe I was moderately in my bag before that moment, but I certainly have felt reaffirmed in the work that I do and the things that I say ever since our encounter. Pretty much I had gotten to a place where I was constantly affirming to and for myself the space that I take up in this world, so it was great to hear from someone SO MANY OF US love that the thoughts and the feelings and the emotions I have are real and warranted. And that I’m actually doing great. Then I found this cute t-shirt dress from Topshop, and the ways I can wear it? Y’all.
Sometimes the enemy will try to convince us that we are not on the right path, and send us blockers or distractions to keep us down. HA!
One of my favorite scriptures goes down in James Chapter 1. In there, we learn about calling ALL things joy. Yes, that includes the drama, the he said she said, the problems, the fights, the jealousy, the setbacks, the gossipers, the haters, the timing, the money, etc. ALL OF IT. Now of course, you may be wondering, “Well Jamé, how am I supposed to consider the bad things in my life joy?” While this is a lesson I’m still learning, all I can say is that God perfects you, your faith, and your ministry even in the midst of obstacles.
Is it easy? No. But when things happen, tell yourself that they are happening FOR you, and not TO you. Everything is working and conspiring for you to win, my love, so don’t get dismayed. The Bible says something (somewhere, Idk) about not growing weary in doing good, because guess what? It’s coming back for you. So just keep pressing on, you’re doing great sweetie.
Also, I’ll be talking about some cool things (like my fun photos) very soon, so stay tuned!
