Happy Tuesday, my beloveds!
I’m not sure how the time escaped me, but last night, the VOGUE x CFDA Fashion Fund Awards went down right in my Brooklyn neighborhood! The night was full of celebrities and amazing influencers of all parts, and the style was dope! I didn’t want to do too much, but I absolutely HAD to showcase some of my favorite looks of the night:
Cynthia Erivo gave me an entire MOOD with her makeup of the night. She sported a Chris Gelinas dress, a beautiful matte lip, and a pop of turquoise eyeliner. Absolutely beautiful!
Lala Anthony sported a Baja East one-shouldered white dress with a side slit. Bam!
This look by Nicki Minaj actually was NOT one of my favorites at first (it’s the diaper pouch thing), but the hair, makeup and the aesthetic of the Alexander Wang all-black look still sold me.
Lais Ribiero is just too beautiful for words. For the night, she wore a black pantsuit with flare hems by Cushnie Et Ochs. She finished the accent with red lipstick.
My secret best friend in my head Jenna Lyons came in full Jenna fashion. I just love how she always shows up in her own aesthetic. I’d recreate this look in a heartbeat.
Karlie Kloss stole the show in my opinion, wearing this liquid-esque purple and black dress from Dior. I love, love, love everything.
Teyana Taylor finished out the night with an all black ensemble, paired with her short pixie cut and neutral makeup. I wish she had added just a pop of color somewhere.
Also, Liberian-American designer Telfar Clemens won the CFDA Award, and we are so excited for a black designer to receive this amazing recognition that has catapulted many careers in fashion!
