The Emmys bored me this year, and honestly, I’m over award shows. It seems like we’re getting farther and farther away from the joy of celebration, and I’m just at a point that seeing a ton of black nominations means nothing when…almost nobody walks away with anything. However, there are a few people who had some standout looks and vibes, and I was truly a big fan of Yara Shahidi’s look.
Yara’s MUA tapped into her look of dewy skin and a neutral eye and lip. Done by Emily Cheng, Yara’s face was first started with the SK-II Overnight Miracle Mask. Then to get into that makeup prep, she went in with one of my FAVORITE things: the beauty blender.
To begin makeup prep, Emily wet her Original beautyblender with water before going into foundation. Now honestly, I also love the Real Technique sponges, because they’re bigger and can be used for the entire face, neck, and even my chest. For Yara, she pressed in a mixture of Bobbi Brown’s Longwear SPF Foundation in Golden Honey and Warm Almond.
To create Yara’s eye look, Emily mixed Bobbi Brown’s Lip Pencil in Sienna and Luxe Matte Lipstick in Burnt Cherry, and of course, lined the eyes for a bit of depth. One of my favorite eyeliners is Bobbi Brown’s Longwear Gel Eyeliner in Black Ink.
This look is super easy to accomplish and fun to do!
What do you guys think? Would you wear this look?
