Hey everyone! As the days have continued to drag on (I’m tired of these blistering hot days), I realized I haven’t updated you all since moving to the Big Apple! Well…it has been quite an interesting experience to say the least, but one thing I’ve certainly learned is that New York is literally the land of opportunity, you just have to seize the opportunity! I was only in New York for about a week before I started receiving invitations to celebrity events, panels, and social soirees. One of the coolest ones happened at the Dazzler Hotel in Brooklyn, where none other than Ursula Stephens herself hosted a #Beautyandthebrand party, stylishly decked down and fabulous. As you can see, I had to get my Carrie Bradshaw on, slipping on these fuzzy pink heels that gave me full on glam. Trying to figure out how to pare it, I went with some denim on denim action, slipping on this Zara denim shirt with a cool acid wash vintage skirt (that I bought at a Salvation Army for like .50 cents!)
Clearly I have a thing for shoes, because I couldn’t pass on the opportunity to rock these bad boys I bought from TopShop (they were half off…and I love mules…and…) Breaking them in at work may not have been my wisest decision, but they prove to be overall comfortable, and the rose gold metallic coloring let me wear them with pretty much any and everything.
Busy days in the office and long commutes mean comfortability at its finest. I paired my babies off with this blue and white H&M dress I’ve had for a few years. TRUE STORY: I bought this dress from the sale rack for like $10. I thought I’d never grow into it, and had contemplated donating it. Glad I waited. It literally is my emergency dress…you know, that one dress you can always depend on in case of an emergency?
Nonetheless guys, I plan to cover a lot more content from now on (I know, I know, I always say that). Hair stuff, beauty stuff, and lots of product reviews are coming down the pipeline. I mean…if I could just try it and give you a review, there’s a win for both of us. 🙂
When life gives you water…I guess you have to make wine. Not sure how, but isn’t that the cool thing about life? You don’t have to have it figured out just yet.
So what do you think? What are your favorite things to do in New York? (Adding to my bucket list)
P.S. I was feeling myself and had to share this video I originally made for bae lol. I ain’t sorry:
