I will not lie: I could care less about the American Music Awards, or most Award shows for that matter. Unlike the majority of the population, tuning in to see who will win the awards coveted all year round, I prefer to simply stalk the crap out of what’s being shown on the carpet and during the performances. Let me just say that some of these celebrities came out tonight swinging with the outfits! Below I’ve curated some of my favorite outfits for the night, with the big reveal of my favorite down below. So first came Demi Lovato, who gave me full goth glam the minute she stepped on the red carpet. Her outfits that exuded sequins, a dark lip, and much drama left little to be desired because she gave me EVERYTHING. 
I can’t leave this post without showing love to Nicki…who…just never ceases to amaze us with her clothing choices. Remember it was just a few years ago she was coming to Music Award shows looking scary, and now she is becoming an effortless beauty. Everything about this dress is sublime, especially the gold rose accents throughout the cuffs and waist. 
Next you had Prince, otherwise known as my future baby daddy and the lover of my soul and spirit. I worship this man as Egyptians worshipped cats. & I love him. He does no wrong. 
Gwen Stefani’s chopped black look at first didn’t steal my eye, but during her performance I definitely changed my mind after I saw how it flowed and looked with the lighting. 
Ciara is every mommy goal out here with her poppin’ melanin. She is the perfect epitome of grace and poise, and her in this dress is just the right amount of revealing without giving away too much. Now I need to give up carbs and just go running because these are some amazing body goals. 
I’m a fan of red, loose fitting dresses and sequins. Add it with some stripy sandals, a plunging back line, and BAM. Selena Gomez steals my heart. 
Last but certainly not least. My favorite look of the whole night. Aside from feeling like an overdosed Princess on Valentine’s day cocaine, this dress is absolutely perfect and something I would wear every day at every event on every train station, just because. Jennifer Lopez changed outfits a few times throughout the night, but she was still effortless chic in this. I need this for my birthday.
