A new standard was set at the Brandon Maxwell show apart from what he was regularly known for bringing his vision of luxe Americana sportswear to the American Museum of Natural History, where he had his own “Cheer” section.

He was the first designer to hold a show at Alaskan brown bear in the Bernard Hall of North American Mammals, the landmark American Museum of Natural History. To add some real cheer, he enlisted Lexi Brumback, Gabi Butler, and other cast members of the new Netflix show to hoot and holler from the seats as the models broke into smiles while making their exits.
Featuring a lot of tailoring for the woman who is sharp and practical, Maxwell’s best evening looks had that same tone; a twisted halter-neck dress in black satin was as to the point as a blade.
