Podcast #5: How to Unforgettably Stand Out On Social Media

I always tell people that knowing how to stand out on social media is the greatest thing you can do as a content creator. When you’re building a personal brand, you want to reach new audiences and demographics. Using the worlds of Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and so many more really are the keys to growth.

Now, when I think about how to stand out on social media, that’s not always meaning to gain and attract all the new followers.

I had to learn to separate my desire for a massive following with the idea that that equaled impact. FYI, it does not. You can be impactful with 1,200 followers and still run the same charts as people with ten times your following. When you stand out on social media, it’s about finding ways to connect with the right people who have the power to change and bless your life. It’s all about building your tribe and what you want to create.

In this week’s episode, I also dished on NYFW and the diversity reports that have come out on it which honestly left me a little shocked. All I know is that we still have a long way to go before real progress can be celebrated in our industry.
