Hey y’all! You know what I love the most about fashion week? When we see how we can recreate the style and beauty trends we see on the runway. How often do y’all see a trend come down the runway and think, “Wow, this is cool but I have no idea how to do that?” Yeah, me too. Well, I actually just learned that every New York fashion week, Nordstrom actually does a bit of this for us: They go backstage to see what everyone’s talking about, and then uniquely convey that to people, which I find amazing since not everyone is totally into fashion week or what we see backstage. For the Spring 2019 season, Nordstrom plunged into power pouts, ‘All you’ and ‘Tropicalia.’
LIPS
Power pouts is just what the name implies, helping us all get that vibrant, amped-up shine and color from our favorite lipsticks. Y’all know I love a lip that pops, so this was something I absolutely gravitated towards.
I love that they showed off the new powder kiss lipsticks from MAC Cosmetics, which have been a favorite of mine since I received some from the brand and tried them out first-hand. Honestly, they are so moisturizing and soft to the touch — I could have one in every color.
Now that spring is here, many of us are going to be trading in our thicker lipsticks for a glossy finish that’s lighter. So enter Laura Mercier’s Lip Glasé’s, which Nordstrom says you can use to get glammed up and glossy. Fabulous!
Oh, and if you like a velvet finish? Go for Nars velvet lipsticks, thank me later.
SKIN
‘All You’ focuses all on skin, ensuring that you have the perfect, natural foundation to let your skin breath when those days get warmer. Of course, you can’t go wrong with MAC’s Studio Fix Fluid, a brown girl staple that has withstood the test of time.
Also, y’all can go for the Nars concealers, which shouldn’t be a new thing to everyone who comes to my site, given the fact I have sworn by these since the moment they touched my face. I personally love the radiant creamy concealers mixed with the sheer glow foundation — you can’t tell me anything! Also if you’re looking for some luminosity in your skin, you can go for the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Away concealer, which I’ve used once or twice and am a huge fan of.
FACE 
And if you want to add some color to your eyes, go for Chanel’s Quadra eyeshadow in the shade ‘306’, which I am immediately getting for the spring and summer. For a bit of bronze, go for a Nars bronzer, which I can attest is actually great for brown girls.
