Yep, it’s Met Gala time! What a wondrous time of year, especially with the camp theme this year. So, what is camp? Well, it’s the exaggerated, the hyped, the eccentric, and so much more. Well, one of my favorite parts of the night is seeing what everyone wore, plus the makeup looks that absolutely captivated us. Well, Serena Williams stole my heart in this beautiful makeup for the night, so of course, I needed details.
For the night, makeup artist Renny Vasquez used Kiehl’s skincare formulations to get her skin gala ready. Now, I have an extreme love for Kiehls and their products, mostly because they are gentle enough for sensitive skin but still work like magic. It’s definitely a brand that has helped me tremendously over the years!
For the eyes, he followed up with using Pat McGrath’s palettes to create an effortless smokey-eye in browns and deep tones.

Skincare
According to Renny, the first step was prep. For skin, he used the Kiehl’s Calendula & Aloe Soothing Hydration Mask and finished with the Calendula Serum-Infused Water Cream for a hydrated, dewy base for color. Calendula is a plant that helps with inflammation and pain, which would make it a great addition to any skincare regimen.
For her skin, Vasquez then applied Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado under the eye and also on the brow bone, letting it set in before finally moving into makeup.
All I know is that Serena looks AH-MAZING, and I’m sold on this simple makeup look that compliments her outfit so well.
