Welcome back to another week and a new episode of TheBlondeMisfit podcast! This week’s episode is very special and near and dear to me because we are focusing on the celebration of Juneteenth.
What is Juneteenth?
Juneteenth is the oldest-recognized holiday of the liberation of African Americans in the US. Although we celebrate, it’s really a day of reflection for so many of us, myself included. With the deaths of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor and countless others, I am left to wonder what is the solution … but really, how do we grieve at a time like this.
In this week’s episode, we talk allyship, activism, why this matters on a macro level but also on a micro level in fashion and beauty, therapy resources, and why we will never stop working to make an inclusive world for all.
We’ve also got the YouTube channel up for you all (link down below). Check it out and let me know your thoughts.
