One of the things I’m seeking to find out is if London is like New York when it comes to measurements of success for fashion — are you an ‘it’ kid, are you reputable, or you a fashion outsider with a clear voice?
Undeniably, I feel that’s what’s made some people leap for joy in New York, knowing they can find something new or unexpected at every twist and turn. I admittedly didn’t know much about Matty Bovan before this season, but a quick look down the runway proved that color, body, and shape were no obstacle. The line makes me think if Moschino met punk rock on London high streets. In the world of fashion, isn’t it nice to have a voice?
