My Top 12 Fashion Looks From The 2019 NAACP Image Awards

Last night, Black Hollywood all came together to celebrate this year’s NAACP Image Awards. The annual awards ceremony not only celebrates the contributions of Black people to the film and entertainment industry, but also shines a light on the work being down around the world by people of color.

For the night, there were many standout looks, but I did catch my eye on a few standout looks. While it was extremely hard to pick it down to just 12 (which I had to do because time was against me on this one), I had to make some tough decisions. Here were 12 of my favorite looks of the night:

Tika Sumpter

While I couldn’t find a front-facing shot, I KNEW Tika came to play no games in this beautiful orange number and low-hanging ponytail. For the night, she was styled by Anita Patrickson.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z

Queen Bey is wearing Balmain, styled by Zerina Akers. Jay looked dapper as well, no?

Lupita Nyong’o
